Compare and contrast the following volleyball and sepak takraw.  Explain each sport separately and then compare how the are similar and how they are different.  Please include factors such as equipment, court use, rules, players etc.
The format to use for this may be conducted in one of the following manners...
- a t-table
- paragraph writing -one paragraph addressing the sport, another one addressing the similarities, and another one the differences
- use point form format using subheadings
- alternate sentences in a paragraph using a specific topic sentence about both sports demonstration one similarity, and then one difference and so on...

- it is a genre of fiction
- it often tells a story about science and technology of the future using the key elements of a story
- character description should include fashion trends of the setting
- it could also involve partially true, partially fictitious laws or theories of sciences
- it should not be completely unbelievable as that is a ventures into the genre fantasy
- the plot create a situation different from the present of the past
- it includes a human element
- the storyline explains the effects/impacts of a new discovery, or scientific development on the future
- the setting is often set in the future, in space, in a different world, physical environment or different universe or dimension

2. What is the particle theory and what does it state?
3. Draw and explain particles of solids, liquids, and gases.
4. Difference between a mixture and a pure substance and use an example to show your ideas.
5. What is the difference between a mechanical mixture and a solution?
6. List three common solvents and three solutes.
7. Explain using the particle theory what happens when a sugar cube is placed in water.
8. What ways can you separate mechanical mixtures?
9. Outline the steps in the sewage treatment process.

1. What are fluids and identify three that are essential to life?
2. What is the particle theory and what does it state?
3. Flow rate, viscosity, and cohesion use examples to explain.
4. Use the particle theory to explain density.
5. What is meant by buoyancy, positive buoyancy, negative buoyancy, and neutral buoyancy and compare using fresh water and salt water?
6. The components of the hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
7.  Compare a thumb nail and shoe shoes and the pressure increase or decrease of each in relation to force used on each.
8.  Explain how a thermometer works using volume and temperature.
