Reading -
Novel Study - In Class - read 10 pages and look at literary devices that authors use when write "Common Style Techniques." This is a great resource for high school.
hwk: read another 10 pages for a total of 20 pages for today as you read make certain to use post-its or torn paper to place a book mark on places in the text where you find "evidence" of the following writing style techniques... flashbacks, foreshadowing, hyperbole, imagery, metaphor, personification, and simile. These literary devices are on the sheet provided in class today. Please review the definition and sample provided to guide you with the post-its. ***Suggestion- consider placing the post-it exactly where you read the content that relates to the literary device instead of at the top of the page you found it on.
